Gallatin trailer thefts - July 13, 2004 The Gallatin Police Department is seeking information about 2 recent utility trailers thefts. ATV theft in White House - May 24, 2004 After 11:oopm on Monday, May 24, 2004, a green 2004 Honda Fourtrax Rancher 4X4 ATV was taken from the front porch of a residence on Hwy 31W in White House. The ATV had been secured to front porch column with a cable and lock which was cut. Sexual assault near market - May 27, 2004 On May 27, 2004, at approximately 11:50pm, a white female was attempting to enter the Keystop Market on Long Hollow Pike in Gallatin when a black male grabbed the victim’s arms and took her behind the store. The male sexually assaulted the female. The victim reported the man appeared to be in his mid 30’s, 6 feet tall, 180 – 190 pounds, with braided hair, facial bumps and having a gold front tooth. Hallmark trailer theft - May 25, 2004 Between 7:oopm – 8:00pm on May 25, 2004, a red, late model Chevrolet pickup was used to steal a white 16 x 7 foot Hallmark enclosed style trailer that had been parked behind the Clifford Chiropractic office at Deer Crossing strip mall on Hwy 31W in White House. Attempted Vehicle Theft - May 24, 2004 On May 24, 2004, at approximately 2:55pm, a white male, 5’8” tall, 130 pounds, wearing a lime green t-shirt and blue shorts attempted to steal a vehicle in the Old 31E / Clark Hollow Road area of Westmoreland and assaulted the victim. Female theives - May 8, 2004 On May 8, 2004, a theft occurred at a home in the Oak Grove area of Sumner County where 2 females entered the residence under the guise of selling vinyl flooring. One of the females engaged the homeowner in conversation while the other female took several items of value, including cash, from other rooms in the residence. Both females are white, approximately 30-40 years old. One female had a stocky build with long, dark, curly hair and the other female is tall, slender and had short blonde hair. Boat stolen in Cottontown - March 12, 2004 On or about March 12, 2004, a dark blue “Stratos Trail” boat trailer and a blue 1989 eighteen foot Stratos Fish & Ski boat with 110 horsepower Johnson motor was stolen from the Cottontown area of Sumner County. Portland High School & Businesses Vandalized - April 9, 2004 Over $5,000.00 in damages occurred to the Portland High School and other area businesses between April 9-14, 2004. Illegal dumping of oil filters - March 19, 2004 On March 19, 2004, two hundred used automotive oil filters were discovered to have been illegally disposed of in a creek bed on Old Hopewell Road in the Castalian Springs area. Bobcat construction vehicle theft - March 16, 2004 Between March 16 – 19, 2004, an orange & white colored Bobcat construction vehicle valued at $20,000 was stolen from a jobsite on Centerpoint Road in Portland, TN. Harley Davidson theft - February 10, 2004 On February 10, 2004, between 11:00am – 12:40pm, a black Harley Davidson motorcycle with gold decals was stolen in front of New Hope Church of Christ at 2600 New Hope Road, Hendersonville, TN. Bethpage Burglaries - February 9, 2004 The Sumner County Sheriff's Department is seeking information concerning three burglaries which occurred on the Bear Carr Road and Phillips Hollow Road area of Bethpage. The burglaries occurred between February 9 - 21, 2004. Burglars took household items from within the residence to include kitchen and bathroom appliances such as bath tubs and stoves. Burglars also took mattresses, gas heaters, antique furniture, china plates and electronics. Hendersonville - Goodlettsville burglaries - January 13, 2004 Between January 13 – 21, 2004, at least 7 burglaries have occurred in the Hendersonville – Goodlettsville area. Witness statements revealed several common traits among these burglaries. Two white males in a small teal colored sedan have been observed knocking on doors to insure no one was home prior to making entry into the residences. If anyone has experienced someone knocking on their door and had subjects asking for directions or any other excuse, they may have useful information concerning the suspects committing the burglaries. Anyone with information concerning the suspects and/or the teal colored sedan are urged to contact their local law enforcement agency. These burglars may be armed and should not be approached. Tool boxes stolen from truck - December 6, 2003 On December 6, 2003, at approximately 12:30pm, the White House Police Department responded to the Cracker Barrel restaurant near Interstate 65 regarding a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was described as a yellow 1998 GMC box truck containing 63 Waterloo toolboxes. The truck had been taken from the rear parking lot. The truck was later recovered but the 63 Waterloo tool boxes were missing. A witness has reported observing a dark colored sedan entering and then leaving the Cracker Barrel rear parking lot at the same time the truck was taken. Westmoreland School Burglaries - January 21, 2004 Between 7:00pm January 21, 2004 and 8:00am January 22, 2004, suspects entered Westmoreland High School and Middle School on Old 31E in Westmoreland. School property was vandalized and several items were stolen. Investigators are seeking information about any vehicles and/or persons that may have been observed in the area. Westmoreland Mapco Robbery - January 4, 2004 On January 4, 2004 at 9:55pm, a suspect walked into the Mapco Station located on Hwy 31E in Westmoreland. Once inside the store, the suspect pulled out a handgun and asked the clerk for the money bag. After taking the money the suspect left the store and headed north on Hwy 31E. The suspect is described as a white male, late teens to early twenties, 5'9" - 5'10" tall, dark hair and brown eyes. He was wearing baggy black denim pants, gray hooded sweatshirt and black tennis shoes. Suspect vehicle is an early 90's model white Chevrolet, possibly a Cavalier. Motor vehicle parts thefts - November 26, 2003 The Gallatin Police Department is investigating the theft of vehicle parts. Tailgates were stolen at Sumner Regional Medical Center parking lots on November 26th & 28th and additional thefts occurred in the R.R. Donnelly parking lots on December 8, 2003. Vandalism on South Broadway - January 1, 2004 Between December 31, 2003 - January 1, 2004, a 1996 Ford mini-van located on South Broadway in Portland was vandalized. Gallatin Jewelry Store Burglary - November 7, 2003 At 12:00am on November 7, 2003, Gallatin Police officers responded to an alarm call at Friedman's Jewelers on Belvedere Drive. Stolen 4 wheelers - October 8, 2003 On October 8, 2003, 2 four wheelers were stolen from the Hwy 52 and Wolf Hill Road area of Bethpage. New Deal Burglaries - August 11, 2003 Between August 11 - August 14, 2003, several businesses in the Highway 109 North / New Deal area of Portland were burglarized during the late night hours. Gallatin vehicle burglaries - August 5, 2003 The Gallatin Police Department is investigating a series of property thefts which occurred on August 5th – 6th, 2003 in the Hwy 109 South area of Gallatin to include Kenny Street, McDavid Street, Johnson Street, Spencer Street and Malvin Street. Numerous vehicles were broken into and stereo systems, CD’s and other personal property was stolen. Rouges Fork stolen guns - June 12, 2003 On June 12, 2003, a burglary was reported on Rouges Fork Road in Bethpage. Ten guns were taken. Arrests have been made but only two of the guns have been recovered. Still missing are a Ruger P90 .45 caliber handgun, several rifles and shotguns, which include a 1917 Winchester rifle, a .50 caliber Hawkins rifle and an Excelsior double barrel shotgun. Harsh Lane Burglary - November 24, 2002 During the week of November 24, 2002, the unoccupied residence of 200 Harsh Lane in Castalian Springs known as "Elmgrove" was broken into. The residence was being renovated at the time of the burglary. Household items, antique dishes, lamps, picture frames and a fur coat were taken.
